First Look: WeTV's 'Sunset Daze,' not your grandma's reality show
Who needs Heidi and Spencer or Snooki and the Situation when there's Mr. Romeo and the Wild Child waiting in the wings?
You thought you had seen it all, but WeTV's new reality show, "Sunset Daze," takes us where no other unscripted series has gone before: into the hard-livin' world of a group of seniors who live in a Club Med-style retirement community in Arizona called Sun City.
This video, mind you, is a little on the mild side. Sure, there's some drinking and smooching but nothing your grandma wouldn't do, right?
We see an ex-nun sky diving, for example. No biggie. But a "New York Daily News" story reveals there's more to the former nun than what we are shown. She apparently has an overworked libido, and her pals like to get drunk on champagne on blind dates.
WeTV says it's all true. What else can we expect? Steamy scenes in Jacuzzis, a wild night out at a gay rodeo, happy-hour makeout sessions, and conversations about sex toys.
"Sunset Daze" premieres April 28.

This looks like it could be funny. It reminds me of my favorite novel, a comedy called INTO THE SUNSET, where a young guy disguises himself as an elderly man to live in an assisted living community.
