Not enough ‘Sex’ in your life?

With “Sex and the City 2” just weeks away from hitting theaters, there’s bound to be a fanatical resurrection for the Manhattan-set series. If you already tune in to TBS for a dose of Carrie Bradshaw and company, it will soon be time to switch. The stylish gals are clacking those Jimmy Choo stilettos over to E! Entertainment Television and the Style network — of course.

Comcast Entertainment Group, the networks’ parent company, has acquired exclusive basic cable rights to HBO’s ‘Sex and the City,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. That gives the pair rights to all six seasons of the series — not to mention some broadband, wireless and Video on Demand rights.

Both channels will take over for TBS, the show’s off-cable home since 2004. The move will take place in January.

Also part of the deal, Comcast snagged rights from New Line Cinema to the “Sex and the City” movie, which is set to premiere on E! in July 2012.
