PROBLEMATIC: Russell Crowe stars as John Nash in the 2001 drama 'A Beautiful Mind' at 10 p.m. on Cinemax.


American Idol: Four contestants are eliminated in this new episode (8 p.m. Fox).

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Langston (Laurence Fishburne) and his team investigate when a member of the band Rascal Flatts (guest starring as themselves) is electrocuted by his guitar during a concert, raising the question of whether it was an accident or foul play. Will Patton guest stars in the new episode (9 p.m. CBS).

The Office: Pam's (Jenna Fischer) contractions begin, but she and Jim (John Krasinski) try to wait things out as long as possible so they can have more time at the hospital. Steve Carell, Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms and Brian Baumgartner also star in this special, two-part episode (9 p.m. NBC).

Kitchen Nightmares: Gordon tries to revitalize Lido di Manhattan Beach, an Italian restaurant in Manhattan Beach, whose owner is a business school graduate with no previous experience in the food service industry (9 p.m. Fox).

Burn Notice: A terrorist threatens to detonate a bomb in Miami in the season finale (10 p.m. USA).

The Real Housewives of Orange County: It's the final party of the summer in the season finale (10 p.m. Bravo)

The Real Housewives of New York City: In the season premiere, Ramona, Jill, LuAnn and Alex enjoy a day on a yacht (11 p.m. Bravo).


The Bourne Ultimatum: Amnesiac spy Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) comes back to the U.S. to battle a CIA peer (David Strathairn) who wants him eliminated in this fine addition to the movie series based on Robert Ludlum's novels (7:30 p.m. USA).


College basketball: Seton Hall at Rutgers (4 p.m. ESPN); USC at Arizona State (5:30 p.m. FS Prime); UCLA at Arizona (7:30 p.m. FS Prime).

Pro basketball: The Lakers visit the Miami Heat (5 p.m. KCAL and TNT); the Utah Jazz visit the Phoenix Suns (7:30 p.m. TNT).

Hockey: The Kings visit the Nashville Predators (5 p.m. FSN).
