After an exhaustive and thorough investigation, Show Tracker has come to the conclusion that we can no longer trust Conan’s Freckles or his Beard or even his Squirrel.

We thought we had a special bond with all of you, but we were wrong.

As more and more Conan-related Twitter accounts keep surfacing, the question keeps coming up: How many Conans are there?

Conan’s friend Aaron Bleyaert blogged Wednesday that fans -- and not Conan or anyone connected to him -- are behind all of the various tweets. He wrote that a ‘Flavorwire’ article about the matter was dead wrong, and he huffed and puffed about the fact that they didn’t call him to verify it.

Well, we’ve been trying to reach you since Wednesday, Aaron, and you haven’t responded, so don’t blame this one on the age of Internet journalism.

Thursday morning, however, we reached out to Conan’s publicist, Beau Benton, and asked if we should trust in Conan’s Freckles.

‘Conan’s only Twitter account is the one that’s verified. That’s the only one he’s tweeting to,’ Benton said.

Really? Whose freckles are they then? And more important: ewwww.

In conclusion: we are breaking up with Freckles, Beard, Squirrel, Sharpie, Monkey, Taurus and the rest.
Now we only track The Man. 636,317 followers and counting. And a live tour to boot.
