All of a sudden, the nation has come down with Betty Mania, and no one is more confused about it than Betty White herself. The 88-year-old entertainer appeared on ‘Larry King Live’ Wednesday to talk about the recent resurgence her career is experiencing.

‘Don’t ask me, it came out of nowhere,’ she told King, referring to the Facebook campaign that earned her a seat at the ‘Saturday Night Live’ table for the May 8 episode, which will serve as a reunion of ‘SNL’ stars Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon and Maya Rudolph, with special guests Rachel Dratch and White as host.

Saying she is ‘very, very nervous’ about it, White said she was asked to host three years ago but she turned it down because ‘it’s so New York, and I’m not New York.’
