Ali Fedotowsky announced as ABC's sixth "Bachelorette"
Well, we hope she cleared it with her boss this time!
Ali Fedotowsky, 25, has been chosen to continue her search for love in the next installment of "The Bachelorette." Viewers of "The Bachelor: On The Wings of Love" were shocked when Ali, having made it to Jake Pavelka's top four, chose to leave the show (and Jake) in order to keep her job at Facebook and her apartment in San Francisco.
She almost immediately regretted her decision, but despite her begging to return, Jake had already moved on. Now Ali is ready to take another chance on love. According to ABC's press release, Ali has "let go of everything this time - her apartment, her job, her stability" in order to make love her number one priority.
In tonight's "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" ceremony, Ali told host Chris Harrison that she's looking for a "quirky" guy who can make her laugh. We'll see if she can set aside her workaholic ways to find him when the 6th season of "The Bachelorette" premieres at 9 P.M. on Monday, May 24th, on ABC.
Are you surprised by Ali's decision to risk it all one more time? Would you have preferred to see another bachelorette take center stage, and if so, who? Let me know in the comments below!

I am very happy for Jake and Vienna, but extremely disappointed about Ali being the next Bachelorette. I am sure nobody really cares, but as a result of her being chosen for the next Bachelorette, I will not be watching the show next season. I don't feel she deserves to be the next Bachelorette. In my opinion, she was really mean-spirited towards Vienna for no reason other than she was jealous of her. I feel that situation concerning her job was just a trick she tried to use to force Jake into choosing her - "choose me or I leave." Of all the other women, how in the world could they have chosen Ali. Thank God he did not allow her to return to the show. Tenley is a very sweet girl, but I don't believe she and Jake were meant to be. Each season I say I'm not going to watch the Bachelor but end up watching it anyway. But this time, I know for certain Iwill not be watching next season. I feel for any man that will have to put up with Ali.

Ali is a nice girl and I will be watching her in the next season. I'm glad she uses her brain by choosing her job over Jake. The guy moved on so quick with other girls, and she shouldn't be wasting her tears over this guy. We shall see how long Jake and Vienna (the faker of everything) will last.

Gladys, I so agree with you on all accounts. I'm not sure if anyone else ever noticed that when ever Ali was sitting with Jake somewhere her skirts were hiked up almost around her waist, she couldn't sit up straight to save herself. I doubt I will watch this Bachelorette either.

I agree with everything Gladys Freeman said. I don't understand why ABC would pick Ali. She was so mean to Vienna. Ali at one point said let's agree to make a pact against Vienna and when Michelle wouldn't agree with it, Ali lashed out at her. I can't imagine what her former boyfriend's have been thru when they make her mad. She thought if she told Jake she had to leave the show for her career, he would beg her to stay and then she would know he was going to pick her at the end. Jake was smart enough to understand what she was doing. What wonderful career is she talking about? Isn't she like an accounting assistant or something. I wished they had picked Gia as the new Bachelorette.

I like Ali. It turns out she made the right decision, as hard as it was for her. Jake is a dork and I picture Ali with a guy who is more fun. On a side note, I don't think Jake and Vienna will last. She is going to get bored.

I find Ali rather fake and emotionally unstable. Not a good choice for either a mate or a bachelorette!
I give Jake & Vienna 2 months...before the sex & passion wear out & there's nothing left.

I am speaking for an adult educated family of 5. We are all very disappointed with your choice of Ali for the next season. This was one of the most negative...vengeful....jealous...insecure and whiniest women I've ever observed in my life. Our family has vowed not to watch at all next season....we all just feel it wouldn't interest us. She is just nasally pitched in her voice & very boring....a one note. And I don't like to make mean spirited comments but my husband....who never says anything unkind about anyone....said when he saw Ali introduced as the next bachelorette"is the Bachelor show getting desperate". While I did not agree with Ali treating Vienna in such a catty & jealous manner, I do feel that Vienna lacks maturity...is perhaps spoiled...not a great communicator. This girl sat and giggled like a child when she met Jake's parents. I think Jake's family's first perception of her was correct and it will be played out the next year. It won't work & if they marry, it won't last. Jake is living in lala land. I think he has turned out to be the A-typical pilot that usually thinks with the wrong brain. He & Vienna will live together for awhile....do the dirty...dirty & then Jake will dump her. As far as Tenley goes....she is classy, cultured, intelligent, articulate, communicative, kind and flawlessly beautiful. Jake was not the guy that Tenley's father thought he was. Tenley is gold and she deserves gold. Where Tenley is concerned, Jake is bronze. Wipe your tears Tenley...girlfriend...put your chin up & be glad you are rid of him. Your true love will come....you are a wise girl and you will find someone who will love all of you and be a "we." Our family loves you. We would love to see Tenley join "Dancing with the Stars" this season and go up against Jake.....can you imagine what good "TV" that would be.

I kept praying that the new Bachelorette would not be Ali. Talk about a "Yawn Fest". I know that a great job is important, but if she was truly inlove with Jake then there wouldn't have been an issue with taking a chance on love. I feel she left because she already sensed that Jake was falling hard for Vienna and this is why she was so mean to her. I felt embarrased for her when I saw her trying desperately to squeeze out a few fake tears when she made the decision to leave because of her job. She says she knew immediately that she had made the wrong decision, yet it took her a week before she decided to call jake. Her job obviously didn't mean that much to her if she's now back as the Bachelorette. It was just an excuse not to have to go up against Vienna as the final 2 contestants. Good choice Ali, as you would not have gotten a ring.

I'm glad to see someone else felt the same way I did. WHY ALI? She was a whiner, complainer and nasty towards Vienna for no other reason then jealousy. She was SO irritating and unpleasant and that season will be the first season this loyal watcher will not be tuning in to watch the Bachelerette. TERRIBLE CHOICE

I wish Jake and Vienna all the best and do not like to be putting her down because perhaps she's not as mature as some of the other girls in the group seemed to be. Let's give her time and offer her our good wishes so that she can make her dreams come true. Why not? We all grow at different pace. The whole situation of exposing women to such shows bring out the worst in them. I wish we as women would learn to have more respect for each other and the ability to be happy and give our blessings to the happiness and success of the other women. We have to stop the competition, envy and jealousy between us. That is the only way we can bring peace into the world. We have the power to make the world a better place because we carry humanity in our wombs and have the honor and responsability to guide the children of the future. Let's wake up to real LOVE!!!

I thought that Gia, would have been a better choice. She was so beautiful, posised and graceful. Ali, had her chance, and was kind of a "mean girl" in her relationships with the, the other girls. She trashed Vienna, every chance she could get, even right there on National TV, with cameras rolling in front of Jake, and the whole country...and it seems she did it, only to make herself, look good!! Then she apologized just so she could become the next Bachorlette! Gia, would have been the classiest choice. She did not become so immature, and petty, and was just so true to herself, and others. I do think Jake would have done well to pick Gia. I did like Tennly, but, as Jake said, there was something missing with him and her, and I couldn't pinpoint it either, other, than it seemed, he had more fun with Vienna ... Tennley is just so syrupy sweet...bless her sweet heart....she would have made a better bachlorette, than Ali! Ali, was phony, and back stabber...look out, girls!! Good luck to Vienna and Jake!! Sincerely, Margo

I forgot to say that I think Vienna is beautiful, and I do hope her and Jake make it..Give her a chance she is only in her early 20's!!! Stop putting her down, I bet she is prettier, than you are? The lady, that went on and on about how unattractive she is..She is beautiful, and they make a good looking couple!! Margo Mitchell

Ali was my second favorite for Jake after Tenley. But that changed after watching her behavior in the cat house.
I didn't buy her apology to Vienna one bit. Let's face it - the producers already inked her in at that point - and I'm sure they informed her that a public apology was necessary - in order to move forward. She was vicious to Vienna and a leader in the attack on her - that's just her personality. And as catty as we women can be - it's unnerving to see that in an individual. Embarrassed maybe...but I think the only thing she was truly sorry for was that she was caught.
The dangling carrot as a spot at the next Bachelorette not only rendered her full of sorrow - it apparently has also granted her the ability to take leave from her job.
Tenley needs time to heal - but she deserves a spot as The Bachelorette.

I like Vienna and Jake. Yes she is immature and but some of her behavior (especially the giggling meeting Jake's family) could have been plain nerves. While she made have made few stupid comments the other girls did not like. They never showed any clips of her trashing people behind their backs like Ali did or even that girl Corey that did that Vienna bashing at the comedy club. They showed all the girls trashing Vienna and tried to make her out to be the villian, but they never showed anything that Vienna really did that made her the villian... I am sure if the producers had anything they would have used any footage they could to make her look bad so they could keep their storyline up.
As for Ali - I think she figured leaving for work and then coming back, worked for Ed on the Bachelorette so why not try it here.... glad it did not work out. I thought she was mean.
I really don't care is Ali is the next bachelorette or not. I liked Gia the best but bother her and Tenley I could not watch either of them as the next bachelorette.......they both have these "baby-talk" voices that got on my nerves the last several episodes of The Bachelor I fast forwarded through all their scenes because I could not stand listening to them talk it was like nails on a chalkboard.

Why Ali? Though I admit I liked her at first as she seemed fresh and real, not a model-wannabe, I got tired of her trashing Vienna so blatantly.
Putting down someone else all the time isn't a great attribute.
And now she is willing to give up her 'life and security' for love? Hope it works for her, love doesn't pay the rent for too many people out there.
I think Gia or even Tenley would've made better Bachelorette fodder.
Like other readers, I probably won't be tuning in to this borefest. Hope she enjoys her 15 minutes.

Ali came to the show for one reason and one reason only: to become the new bachlorette, that's why she pulled that little stunt. I think the show is making a huge mistake by choosing her. I am so very disappointed in the show for choosing her, surely they could have found sombody else.I guess I"ll have to find something else to occupy my time when the show is being aired; I take up knitting. My condolences to the guy who ends up with her.

I think Ali was a great choice for the next Bachelorette!! Ali was my favorite person on The Bachelor and was sad to see her go. I really disliked Vienna and think that if did end up coming down to Ali and Vienna Jake would've picked Ali. Vienna was treated too much like a princess and Ali didn't like that so she didn't put up with that. I think that Ali will do great as the Bachelorette.
