Faces of America With Henry Louis Gates Jr.: In this new series, DNA testing and genealogical research -- which Gates employed to help prominent black Americans trace their roots -- is used for people with a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Director Mike Nichols, Kristi Yamaguchi and Yo-Yo Ma are featured in tonight’s episode (8 p.m. KCET).
