Sarah Palin backs 'Real World' alum for Congress
Sarah Palin continues to grab headlines, this time for backing a “Real World” alum for Congress.
While on the show, Duffy was known for his all-American rugged look (he was, after all, a champion lumberjack) and being an unapologetic conservative Republican who often clashed with some of the liberal-minded cast members.
Fans of the show know he is one of few to find love, and keep it, with another "Real World" alum. After the show ended, he met Rachel Campos from the San Francisco cast, and they married. They have five kids.
In a posting on her Facebook page Wednesday, Palin promoted a fundraiser for Duffy, who is running against longtime Democratic Rep. David Obey.
“On this first anniversary of the stimulus, let's send a message to the big-spenders in Washington by helping Sean Duffy unseat the author of the stimulus,” Palin wrote. “Let's put government back on our side and get to work revitalizing America!”
Duffy, who Palin described as a “northern Wisconsin patriot,” set a goal for $25,000 for his “money bomb,” but as of this posting, he had taken in $27,128.
For a little nostalgia, check out a clip from "The Real World Reunion 2000," which features the Boston cast and more of Duffy.

Good for them both. Credit MTV for trying to create real diversity on their show, not just different shades of the same thing.
