'90210': Gillian Zinser graduates to series regular

She’s the girl who rode into "90210" on a surfboard with beach hair, developed a crush on Matt Lanter’s Liam and, soon, she’ll be AnnaLyne McCord’s character Naomi's nemesis. Gillian Zinser plays West Bev newbie and the sole female surf team member, Ivy, and now it seems she’s sticking around for a while.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has promoted Gillian Zinser to a series regular on "90210."

While we’re a bit shocked by the news, we really shouldn’t be. Last October, the show made a splash when it was announced that “L Word” actress Kelly Lynch was cast as Ivy’s mother. That should have been a sign that we should pay more attention to the character.
