It may be Mr. Costello's show, but Bruce Springsteen is still "The Boss" as the two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers team for an evening of musical performances and songwriter shoptalk on Part 1 of 2 of a new edition of "Spectacle: Elvis Costello With ..."(Sundance, 10 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Five fledgling legal eagles (Tina Majorino, Matt Long, Leah Pipes, Ben Lawson, Mehcad Brooks) find themselves in "The Deep End" in this new drama about a high-powered Los Angeles law firm. Billy Zane, Nicole Ari Parker and Clancy Brown also star. (ABC, 8 p.m.)

"Dollhouse," the mind-bending sci-fi drama starring Eliza Dushku, ends its too-short two-season run. But fear not, fellow geeks: "Caprica," the "Battlestar Galactica" prequel starring Esai Morales and Eric Stoltz, makes its much-anticipated debut. (Fox, 9 p.m.; SyFy, 9 p.m.)
