Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: Ashanti volunteers to help Ty Pennington and his team rebuild the dilapidated Buffalo, N.Y., home of a Jamaican immigrant and community activist (8 p.m. ABC).

Planet Earth Extremes: This profile of the planet's most inhospitable locations visits the icy poles and the world's greatest deserts (8 p.m. Discovery).

Big Love: Bill, Nicki and Cara Lynn (Bill Paxton, Chloë Sevigny, Cassi Thomson) hit the road for Washington, D.C., where Bill hopes to score an endorsement in this new episode (9 p.m. HBO).

Ax Men: After an ill-fated road trip, Jimmy and James Smith arrive in Florida to tackle its dangerous waters, only to discover quickly that they are in way over their heads in this new episode (9 p.m. History).

My Big Fat Greek Wedding: A Greek woman (Nia Vardalos) risks her tradition-bound family's wrath when she falls for, then plans to wed, a decidedly non-Greek educator (John Corbett) in this 2002 comedy. Michael Constantine, Lainie Kazan and Joey Fatone costar (6 p.m. ABC Family).

Ice Dreams: Years after a tragic accident, a former Olympic figure skater agrees to coach a young student in this 2010 TV movie starring Jessica Cauffiel and Brady Smith (9 p.m. Hallmark).

The Pregnancy Pact: A woman returns to her hometown to investigate the sudden increase in teenage pregnancies in this 2010 TV movie starring Nancy Travis and Thora Birch (9 p.m. Lifetime).
