No more 'business time' for 'Flight of the Conchords"

Getprev-2
Let us bow our heads in silence. We have sad news to confirm.

"Flight of the Conchords" creators Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie and James Bobin announced on their official website today that the HBO comedy will not get a third season.

It's true: Bret and Jemaine will not be returning from New Zealand, destined to a life of sheepherding. But what about Murray? What's his destiny? We will never know. All we know is this: "We’ve noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it, so in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won’t be returning for a 3rd season. We’re very proud of the two seasons we made and we like the way the show ended. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make the show and also everyone who watched it. While the characters Bret and Jemaine will no longer be around, the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist."

Nooooooooooooooooo!!!! This is so sad!!

That's really too bad. The show was different, clever and very funny.

No more Flight of the Conchords??? This will not stand, man. This aggressions will not stand.

Noooo way dude! This sucks.

I just discovered this show about two months ago. No one I know has even heard of it. What a shame, as it is a quirky and awesome show! I'm half way through the second show right now and loving every minute of it.

You lazy bastards!! You would rather act in crappy movies (yes Jemaine that movie was crap) than make a great TV show? Oh, it’s so hard to come up with ideas for a show, oh it’s so hard to write songs that are funny…. you damned lazy bastards! Hire some good people to help, get ideas from your fans… anything!!! This is no way to end this show! I hope you guys break your legs, so you are forced to sit at home and write funny songs and show ideas. You belong to us now. We demand more!

is that a joke?

tony! your an idiot!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! WHY GOD WHY?!!

It's a shame, but these guys have been doing FotC for quite a while outside of the TV show. There was at least one album, some tours, and a BBC radio show all before the HBO TV show. Then there was the touring, EP, and two albums after the TV show premiered. If they want to do something else, let them, they've worked hard enough. Not many TV shows last more than a couple of seasons outside of the US. I know we're used to 8 or 9 seasons of a good show, but sometimes it's best to end on a high note.

Besides, they never said they're done as a band. I doubt this is the last we'll hear from them.

As much as I'll miss the show, we'll be better served with quality over quantity.

THIS IS THE REMIX!

This show Blows dunky yopu know what. good thing it's cancelled and done with. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

NO THIRD SEASON!!!! WHAT?!!!!

Mary.

It's shameful news, I wish they would continue.

Your girl Mary :)
