Carson Daly is going back to his radio roots

December 8, 2009 | 12:37 pm

Carsondaly Carson Daly, who was an L.A. deejay before he became host of MTV's "Total Request Live" and NBC's late-night "Last Call" show, is returning to his roots. Beginning Jan. 4, he'll host the 6 to 10 a.m. weekday show at L.A. Top 40 station KAMP-FM (97.1).

"Now, not only can people fall asleep to my late-night show on NBC, but they can wake up with me on the radio too," Daly said in a statement released this morning.

Daly previously worked at rock station KROQ-FM (106.7), which, like KAMP, is owned by CBS Radio.
