Kirstie Alley gets her own reality series at A&E

November 3, 2009 |  4:22 pm

Kirstie It was only a matter of time: Kirstie Alley is getting her own reality series at A&E.

The cable network has ordered 10 episodes of the as-yet-untitled show, which will follow Alley's up-and-down journey with weight loss and life as a single mom of two. She last starred in the Showtime comedy series "Fat Actress."

Alley will join A&E's stable of reality celebrities including Dog the Bounty Hunter, Gene Simmons and, this December, Steven Seagal.

According to the network, Alley's show will specifically see the actress "launching a new weight loss program, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, True and Lillie, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs, and on top of everything, looking for love."

The series, which is being produced by FremantleMedia, will air next year.

GOES to show you why there is no entertainment as they say anymore and why people prefer to stay home and play with the dog or cat and feed the fish. This is absurd to watch this no talent fat slob make a living feeding her face and going over two hundred pounds and then make millions showing the world how she loses weight when more than two thirds of americans are overweight to begin with. Its not like she drank water and ate salads to get fat. Its because she probably does so to make money since she has no career and again, does anyone care if she loses weight?

Will she take us for a tour of the Psychiatry - An Industry of Death museum? Will she explain how psychs caused 9/11 and the Holocaust? (This is what Scientologists and CCHR actually believe). I think it's about time for Oprah and the media to stop feeding this celebrity Scientology monster.

Kirstie Alley,

Congrats.... What a devine opportunity for you. I have watched you over the years, and have enjoyed many of the shows you have performed in.

I will be working on my own weight loss as well. This time my efforts are all about me...I love to compete,...So I will be watching you.
