CBS has ordered five more episodes of the Jenna Elfman sitcom ‘Accidentally on Purpose,’ a network rep confirmed.

The move is close to but not quite a vote of confidence in the series -- five episodes is fewer than the ‘back 9’ that make up a full-season pickup. The news comes on the heels of a nice ratings bump for ‘Accidentally,’ which according to preliminary overnight numbers drew its best ratings Monday since the premiere.

In October, CBS ordered full seasons of its other rookie series ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ and ‘The Good Wife.’ Still no word on more episodes of struggling first-year medical drama ‘Three Rivers.’
