VIVID: Nightmares insert Allison into scenes from the horror classic "Night of the Living Dead" in this new episode of "Medium" (9 p.m. CBS).

Dog Whisperer: Cesar Millan tries to help a French bulldog who was once a big attraction at a hair salon but inexplicably began barking at and even biting some clients (6 and 9 p.m. National Geographic).

Ghost Whisperer: Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is being haunted by the Headless Horseman from "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" in this new episode (8 p.m. CBS).

House: Hugh Laurie and Andre Braugher star in this encore presentation of the two-hour season premiere (8 p.m. Fox).

Mr. and Mrs. Wolfman: Shaun "the Wolfman" Ellis teaches his girlfriend Helen how to live like a wolf and to live with the wolves in the premiere of this new series (8 p.m. Animal Planet).

Bill Moyers Journal: Economist James K. Galbraith discusses the uneven nature of the economic recovery (9 p.m. KCET).

Monk: Monk (Tony Shalhoub) reluctantly adopts a dog while looking into the disappearance of its owner in this new episode (9 p.m. USA).

Numb3rs: In a special Halloween episode with a salute to "The X-Files," a decommissioned air base is the scene of what appear to be paranormal events, but Don and Charlie (Rob Morrow, David Krumholtz) and the rest of the team think something more sinister is afoot after a dead woman is found on the grounds. John Michael Higgins and Jennifer Elise Cox guest star (10 p.m. CBS).

Gaslight: Director George Cukor directed this 1944 psychological thriller about a woman (Ingrid Bergman) who begins to fear she is going mad -- or her husband (Charles Boyer) is trying to drive her mad. Angela Lansbury (in her film debut) and Joseph Cotten also star (5 p.m. TCM).

SPORTS

Basketball: The Clippers visit the Utah Jazz (6 p.m. FS Prime); the Dallas Mavericks visit the Lakers (7:30 p.m. ESPN; FSN).
