Hank: Emmy winner Kelsey Grammer returns to series television as a driven sports retail entrepreneur who is forced to give up his swank New York lifestyle and move his family back to his small Virginia hometown after his company downsizes (8 p.m. ABC).

The National Parks: America’s Best Idea: The new episode ‘Going Home (1920-1933)’ recalls the advent of the car, which allowed more people to visit national parks that previously had been accessible mainly to those who could afford train tours (8 p.m. KCET).

The Middle: This new sitcom stars Patricia Heaton as a Midwestern car saleswoman who juggles her job demands with keeping her three children (Charlie McDermott, Eden Shur, Atticus Shaffer) grounded in solid, middle-class family values, abetted by her husband, Mike (Neil Flynn), a quarry manager. Chris Kattan also stars (8:30 p.m. ABC).

Criminal Minds: Rossi and Hotchner (Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson) and the rest of the team search for a disturbed man after he kills several people at a pharmacy; they seek to learn what set him off before he harms anyone else. Sean Patrick Flanery and Glenn Morshower guest star in the new episode. Paget Brewster, Shemar Moore and Matthew Gray Gubler also star (9 p.m. CBS).

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Stabler and Benson (Chris Meloni, Mariska Hargitay) suspect a well-heeled financier (Matt C. Burns) of murder when a young woman’s body is found stuffed inside a suitcase, but their investigation takes them to a dating website run by an uncooperative executive (Eric McCormack). Christine Lahti also stars in the new episode (9 p.m. NBC).

CSI: NY: The team searches for a cyber killer who seems to be targeting healthcare workers, but the case turns personal when a suspect mentions Mac’s (Gary Sinise) father, who died nearly two decades ago. Greg Germann guest stars in the new episode. With Melina Kanakaredes, Carmine Giovinazzo and Hill Harper (10 p.m. CBS).
