Vincent D'Onofrio has 'Intent' to leave 'Law & Order'
Vincent D'Onofrio, who has played Det. Robert Goren on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" for eight seasons, is easing out of the series. The actor, who said he wants to pursue new opportunities in film and TV, will transition out of the drama in the ninth season opener.
"I have always been, and have always viewed myself, as a character actor, and the great opportunity that (series creator and executive producer Dick Wolf) presented to me ... was successful beyond my wildest expectations," D'Onofrio said in a statement.
He added, "For all my loyal 'CI' fans, I wouldn't be surprised if Goren shows up from time to time."

Fantastic...Not. Who's going to provide the crazy genius that Goren brings? I mean that is the only reason I watch L&O: CI. This show will not have long once he leaves until it's right down the tubes. I hate when they get rid of the best character(s). Why??

Why can male actors put on this much weight and get away with it? If it were a female actor she'd be out of there.
