[UPDATE] Tweet this, Ashton: CW cancels 'The Beautiful Life: TBL'

Tbl

After just two episodes have aired, The CW has pulled the plug on "The Beautiful Life: TBL," a drama executive produced by Ashton Kutcher about young models living in New York.

The first of fall's new shows to be canceled, "TBL" premiered to just 1.5 million viewers last week. Wednesday's episode was seen by only 1 million. The series starred Mischa Barton and Sara Paxton.

No word on what will replace the series in the Wednesday 9 p.m. time slot, but reruns of "Melrose Place" are likely. (The CW used a similar strategy to help build "90210" last year.) "Melrose" has seen drops in viewership since its Sept. 8 premiere but recently coaxed back original "special guest star" (and surefire ratings draw) Heather Locklear, who will return for multiple episodes beginning Nov. 17.

[Update: It's official: "Melrose Place" will begin rerunning Wednesdays at 9 pm beginning Sept. 30.]

Mischa hasnt got any shine since the O.C. you didnt promote it enough. give it some time. two episodes and u take it off air?

I actually loved this show, which is a huge compliment to the show since I pretty much hate most of CW's shows. I don't particularly, or typically even like shows about stuck up teens, or overly un-realistic teenage lives, etc., pretty much like all of CW's other shows (One Tree Hill, The OC, etc. etc.), but this show was great. It was in depth, and gave you a nice glimpse of their faults, the person behind the mask. It was just completely entertaining. They should have at least given a whole season instead of pulling it, what a waste of money on their end. Such a shame that they make these amazing shows and then don't promote them enough, and instead of trying to amp up the ads, they just pull the plug.

Geesh way to pull a good thing prematurely! After only two episodes how can you tell if its gonna be a hit. I watched it, I thought it was good, I noticed when it was off. And for the record, I think its way better than Melrose Place. That shows a bore.

Hi so umm hate to say it
but they did advertise it!
they adretised it for about two months or so.
I thought it had a good story line but the actors sucked.
They have no talent these days and the people who do have talent are let go because of their flaws.
bring the show back but choose people who can act!

wow thats so crazy because i loved this show

okay people- yeah, CW shows are not the greatest acting and not the best show in the world- but calm down. some people enjoy it- it is just simple, fun entertainment. this one was pretty good... they needed to advertise more, i think it would have done well!

I like TBL! it was a pretty interesting show i like it better then melrose place that show starts to bore me! ive been waiting to watch The beautiful life come to find out they cancel it thats lame at least let the season play out instead of leaving the interested veiwers hanging with no answer as to why? More advertisement could be needed just give it some time..But honestly (i love 90210, One Tree hill , an Vampire diaries, Gossip Girl the BEST!! )

I really liked this show and I am really diappointed it was cancelled. I have been waiting for the third episode and just found out it was cancelled. I think there would have been more viewers if it was advertised better. Please bring it back.

I thought it was as good as I expected it to be...
I mean people couldn't have expected too much.
Idk... I was into it. Talk about leaving you hanging.

You should also update that in light of other gems on the network The remaining 5 completed episodes will be aired later this season
