[UPDATE] Tweet this, Ashton: CW cancels 'The Beautiful Life: TBL'
After just two episodes have aired, The CW has pulled the plug on "The Beautiful Life: TBL," a drama executive produced by Ashton Kutcher about young models living in New York.
The first of fall's new shows to be canceled, "TBL" premiered to just 1.5 million viewers last week. Wednesday's episode was seen by only 1 million. The series starred Mischa Barton and Sara Paxton.
No word on what will replace the series in the Wednesday 9 p.m. time slot, but reruns of "Melrose Place" are likely. (The CW used a similar strategy to help build "90210" last year.) "Melrose" has seen drops in viewership since its Sept. 8 premiere but recently coaxed back original "special guest star" (and surefire ratings draw) Heather Locklear, who will return for multiple episodes beginning Nov. 17.
[Update: It's official: "Melrose Place" will begin rerunning Wednesdays at 9 pm beginning Sept. 30.]

I loved it. It was Smallville and Gossip Girl roled into one. Much better than Melrose and certainly better than season 2 of 90210. I work with drama and trauma all day every day having something that is based in unrealistic, plastic, TBL was wonderful. We all need a little fantasy their is way too much CSI, Crminial Minds, kill this, blow up that, violence etc on every other chanel including the news at all hours. Why not have some beauty and fun, and love stories once in a while. I hope they bring it back.

It was very obvious to me that "The Beautiful Life: TBL" was going to be canceled before the show even aired. To me Sarah Paxon is just not a big enough name to lead an entire show. As a matter a fact none of the cast was, except for maybe Mischa, but after all of her dirty laundry was aired in the tabloids it hindered her ability to draw in that tween/teen crowd that gravitates towards shows like this. Not to mention the fact that the casting was ridiculously unrealistic from the begining, I don't know if the CD has ever acutually been to a fashion show in New York but "plain jane" Paxon and "way too short" Bleu don't look anything like models. When they were "walking" in the Zac Posen show it was laughable. None, and I mean none of the cast members were even passable models! You mean to tell me that with all of the gorgeous people in LA trying to get in the biz that this was the best they could do. Half the cast of the Hills would be a better choice. I mean come on, with shows like America's Next Top, Rachel Zoe Project, The City etc. the mass market audience is being given an inside look at what high fashion is really about. Even the era of the supermodel is creeping back as average people become more and more familiar with the faces in the magazines. I think that the CW underestemated its viewers, who aparently can smell a fake from a mile away.

I loved that show so far and i was so exited to see tonight's episode and I'm pissed that its canceled, why couldn't they give it a little more time to gain some viewers, 2 episodes is soooo not enough!

Wow, I enjoyed watching this show ans was looking forward to seeing it tonight. i thought that it was a great show to follow " America's Next Top Model". Give the show a chance, America TV is so harsh. Maybe another channel will pick it up because there are worst shows out there. GO FIGURE!

I was looking forward to the third episode! I agree - not enough advertisement, CW! The only reason I knew about it was because I happened to have the tv on that channel before it started. But I loved it and was looking forward to watching it tonight! Bring it back, CW!

ADVERTISE IT BETTER MORE PEOPLE WILL WATCH I PROMISE YOU I ONLY FOUND OUT ABOUT IT BECAUSE I WAS GOING THROUGH MY CHANNELS SAW IT READ THE INFO THOUGHT IT SOUNDED INTERESTING AND WATCHED IT AND I LOVED IT SO I SET A RECORDING FOR IT AND THEN AFTER THE SECOND EPISODE ITS CANCELED THATS JUST RIDICULOUS BRING IT BACK AT LEAST TO FINISH THE SEASON IT WAS A GRRRRREAT SHOW IT KEPT MY ATTENTION BETTER THEN MELROSE PLACE DOES THERES TO MUCH GOING ON IN ONE EPISODE THAT ITS HAD TO PAY ATTENTION BUT YET I KEEP WATCHING IT. MY ADVISE FOR MELROSE IS TO NOT HAVE EVERY EPISODE BE ABOUT EVERYONE AT THE SAME TIME IF YOU FOCUS ON ONE PERSON AT OR TWO AT A TIME IT WILL KEEP MY ATTENTION AND I WONT BE WATCHING THE EPISODE TWICE TRYING TO KNOW WHATS ALL GOING ON AND MAKE SURE I KNOW WHO DID WHAT THERES TO MUCH CLUTTERED TOGETHER.

Let me just say I dont think its possable for Ashton Kutcher to make a bad show so maybe if you would commercialize it better youll find out more people like it then you think. It had two episodes nobody knew about it give it time try putting it on again and advertise the crap out of it and watch it will be big like Gossip Girl thats what it reminded me of when I was watching it, it really kept my attention and I wanted to see more I want it back :( PLEASE

This is awful, it is the one show I had actually started watching this year. Give it sometime, it already looks better than 90210 or the new melrose place.

I'm so upset that they canceled this show! I had seen the previews for it and was very excited about it and then remembered it when I went online to watch an episode of One Tree Hill I had missed earlier that week. I watched the Pilot of "TBL" and fell in love with yet another CW show. I was so excited to have something to watch of interest on Wednesday nights. It would be amazing if they brought it back! All they need is a little more promotion and some time...2 episodes is not enough for people to get hooked! Now I can't even watch the last episode that I missed.

I instantly loved TBL and am super sad that it was canceled! I think this is a bad call CW!!! Melrose Place should have been canceled! There is a reason it didn't stay on air the first time around!

I can't believe the CW cancelled this show only after two episodes! The CW really didn't spend as much time promoting this show as much as Vampire diaries which is a shame since I was really getting into the show. I turn on my television and all I see is a rerun of Melrose Place, I was VERY disappointed. I miss TBL, let the show go on!

"Melrose Place" is a HORRID show. I tried to watch the first episode and i just couldn't get through it. Truly awful. When I finished watching the first episode i seriously said "I have found my new tv obsesion." And then the cw pulls a stunt like this. I want to know who is the father of Sonyas baby!! :/
