[UPDATE] Stephanie Pratt says she's done with MTV's 'The Hills'

The new season of "The Hills" with Kristin Cavallari debuts tonight on MTV -- but the show may be over before it even begins.

Stephanie Pratt, Spencer's sister, says she won't return to the reality show after this season's 10 episodes. She also told Hollyscoop that Lo Bosworth, Lauren Conrad's best friend, may also be exiting.

News comes on the heels of Audrina Patridge's announcement last month that she's "almost done" filming the series and will move on to develop her own reality show with "Survivor" producer Mark Burnett.

"I don't know how much more I can take of 'The Hills,' Pratt said. "It is very brutal. ... It's not because of Kristin. I was going to stay and see what happens after these 10 episodes, but I just don't think I can stand 'The Hills' anymore."

[Update 5:24 p.m.: In an e-mail to ShowTracker, a rep for Pratt wrote: "At this point Stephanie isn't certain whether or not she'll be returning next season. Her focus is on this season's show."

Yikes! Is anyone left? It certainly looks like the drama in "The Hills" could be coming to a close.

Through her publicist, Pratt could not be reached for comment. Earlier this summer, she posed in a bikini on the cover of US Weekly next to a headline reading "'The Hills' Made Me Bulimic.' "

I'm one of those who will not be watching this new season of the Hills. I really enjoyed watching Lauren and her friends but I'm not a fan of Kristen. I do plan to keep up with Whitney Port and her show, "The City."

It really does not matter who leaves or stays anymore...Lauren is gone, and the show's premise was based upon her and her life. The show has taken some ugly twists and turns, leaving he voyers with much to talk about. Much that is boring and nonsensical. Yes, Kristen is gorgeous - the only real reason she was brought on - eye candy. She cannot hold a candle to the class and "grace" that Lauren and Whitney brought to the show. It is sad MTV cannot see when it is time to close a door. Hey, good thing we have The City! haaa

Not sure why MTV continued on with a show that began about Lauren's life and now has turned into what... a circus with a "bitch"? This show was about Laruen, period. Like all the other fans, thank gosh we still have the City.

Well that wasn't an informative article at all. What is it that Stephanie can't stand?

I just watched the first 20 minutes of the season premiere of The Hills with Kristin C. and I don't think I will watch any more episodes going forward. She is so over the top and acts very unnaturally. It all seems so forced. I thought it would be interesting with Kristin but I think the show has jumped the shark and is not at all interesting anymore.

I didn't enjoy the show. It's as if the heart is gone. Audrina and Lo, and even Heidi all have heart, but Kristin's aggressive personality wrecks the show's warmth, the very soul of the show has vanished... It simply wasn't fun to watch. MTV should have stuck with the original characters, given Lo and Audrina larger roles and let us laugh as Heidi and Spencer begin their life as a married couple. People of all ages watch The Hills and I think that MTV will lose a large group of viewers when the central character lacks integrity and is someone that nobody wants to identify with... poor choice with Kristin. Fade her out and give us back The Hills. The City at least leaves you rooting for Whitney who definitely has heart.

I don't blame her if it's true, and I was never really a fan of hers to begin with. The spawn of the Devil is her brother, but I guess it's not her fault he's really Lucifer. Anyway, now that Lauren is gone, so is most of the believability that the show was somewhat real. In my opinion (and this is my opinion only) Lauren was the only real person on the show, and the most relatable. She was the same person in interviews too, she wasn't fake or phony. I saw the show tonight, and as an avid viewer since the beginning of the show (as well as Laguna Beach), it has gone COMPLETELY downhill. The producers are taking away the reality and trying to make it into a wannabe real life 90210 or something. I never cared for Kristen either, but they have made her into a total beeyotch. And yeah, she was the beeyotch on Laguna, but at least she was more herself. Now, it's like they have told her to amp it up. And she has, badly! Why the hell else would she even get involved with a dirty dishrag like Justin Bobby? Puleeze.

The hills is not the same without lauren. I am not sure why Kristin is even on the show why is she famous again???? She is fake and just brings drama so pathetic...... I think Audrina and all the other girls should make their own show Spedi and Kristin can have The Hills and be pathetic together. Atleast Lauren has the class and maturity to realize what she wants and realizes whats real GO team Lauren!!!! And Justin isn't even Kristin's type she is just going after him to make Audrina upset any real women would step aside and not go there..... how old is she again????

It looks like it's time MTV closed down the reality show "The Hills" originally based upon Lauren Conrads life, without her the shows lost its premise. The other cast members don't really boost the show in way that's interesting. The Hills is completely boring this season. To many fights and cast members leaving.

Hopefully everyone has something else to move on to, otherwise what a career breaker! Likely, we'll never see Lauren Conrad, Kristen Cavallari, Stephanie Pratt or Audrina Patridge after all none of these girls are real actresses...

As everyone can recall "The Hills" is a spin off from "Laguna Beach" and this makes the possibilities endless as far as new people coming into the show. So it isn't like the show was only of Lauren, Heidi, Lo, etc. but others that came in off Laguna and make the show more tolerable to watch. And that seems to be what we can expect in the upcoming, if at all, additional seasons, but quite frankly I won't be watching after the disaster show last night due to the scripted feel it had and "Speidi", oh how they make me sick.
