Jenna Bush Hager to make her debut on 'Today'

September 10, 2009 |  2:52 pm

NBC's "Today" is using a trip to Dallas to introduce its newest correspondent: former First Daughter Jenna Bush Hager. The network announced today that Hager will do her first report for the program -- a profile on an 11-year-old Dallas boy who is a motivational speaker -- on Sept. 18 when the show broadcasts live from the new Cowboys Stadium. Hager will make her debut on the program a day earlier, when she'll be welcomed by the "Today" team at the show's Rockefeller Center studio in New York.

Meanwhile, in a nifty bit of cross-promotion, Matt Lauer and Al Roker will get a tour of the Cowboys' new palace from former Cowboys player Emmitt Smith two days before NBC airs the team's home opener against the New York Giants on "Football Night in America."
