The indicted former governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, and his wife, Patti, will appear on ‘The View’ Sept. 9 for an exclusive interview.

Although it is the first time the husband and wife have been interviewed together, neither has been a stranger to your television set. Blagojevich himself was on ‘The View’ in January, the appearance in which he told host and executive producer Barbara Walters: “Let me unequivocally state right here before you and the whole country: Under no circumstances was I trying to sell a Senate seat. Under no circumstances did I break any laws.” He also sat famously with David Letterman and declared ‘I’ve been wanting to be on your show in the worst way for the longest time.’ Which prompted this Letterman retort: ‘Well, you’re on in the worst way, believe me.’

Patti Blagojevich took another approach to their problems by appearing on NBC’s flop ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’ after a judge did not allow her husband to participate.

This time, Rod Blagojevich will promote his upcoming book, ‘The Governor.’ The new season of ‘The View’ begins Sept. 8.
