Fox cancels 'Talkshow with Spike Feresten,' renews 'Fringe'
First "MadTV" and now Spike Feresten bites the dust.
B&C is reporting that Fox will not renew its late-night entry "Talkshow with Spike Feresten" for a fourth season -- especially not with Wanda Sykes on board to headline a show of her own on Saturdays this fall.
Sykes' as yet untitled series will fill in at 11 p.m. for "MadTV." No word yet what, if anything, will replace Feresten's midnight slot. According to the network's announcement last month, Sykes' show will include commentary on hot-button issues, feature recurring personalities for panel discussions and segments shot outside of the studio.
There's happier news for J.J. Abrams' "Fringe," which Monday scored a 22-episode second season. Among the season's new series, "Fringe" ranks No. 1 among adults.

Now if only Fox would renew "Dollhouse", which deserves a second season.

I guess being a network executive requires the same skill and intelligence as a contestant on 'Deal or No Deal'. It is the same with the worthless Music Industry (RIP) , an octogenarian asks his genius nephew what's HOT? what do the kids like these days?
I could front a superior network lineup using canceled shows.
Just make your channel cater to white males 14 - 60 and you'll have a winner.
