'iCarly': Ruler of the tweens

Miley Cyrus' "Hannah Montana" may get more attention, but the Nickelodeon show starring Miranda Cosgrove gets more young viewers.

Everyone knows who Hannah Montana is. But perhaps only kids know she's been unseated as TV's reigning tween queen by one Carly Shay.

When no one was looking, Carly, the plucky 15-year-old star of the Nickelodeon comedy “iCarly,” overtook Disney Channel's “Hannah Montana” -- and this year, "American Idol" -- in the ratings race for young audiences.

Miranda Cosgrove, who plays Carly, is still a name that draws quizzical looks while Miley Cyrus sells out Cineplexes and concert stadiums. Nor is Cosgrove the whirlwind of controversy that Cyrus has been. On Sunday, Cosgrove posted to her Twitter page: "Just finished 5 more hours of math. At least this afternoon was fun! My first real driving lesson!" -- a far cry from Cyrus' recent bio (dating a 20-year-old, a Jonas brother and posing provocatively for Vanity Fair.)

Miley is far more famous than just the Hannah Montana show...she is beyond that, now. She is a world-wide celeb known for acting, singing, live shows, etc.. No-one has ever heard of Miranda Cosgrove outside of her television show fans. I could walk past her on the street and not know it for I haven't a clue what she looks like. Miley, however, can't go anywhere without everyone recognizing her. There simply is no comparison between the two girls. Plus Miley is strikingly good looking.

Cough cough strikingly beautiful ? Jillified what are you sipping on ?Mileys the biggest piece of white trash and i am OVERJOYED that finally her star seems to be fading ! So many little girls look up to her its scary what messages they are receiving !

I wish the best career for a talented ms cosgrove hopefully she will be a better example to young girls ! My girls used to watch hannah but now we watch icarly a way funnier show ! Miranda and Jennette Mccurdy are so talented ! I am kinda amaze that i actually enjoy icarly even though i am way outta there age range it really is just that funny . :)
