'Bachelor' Melissa to rebound on 'DWTS'
There are many ways to get over a breakup. Some cry. Others drink themselves into oblivion. And some just rebound onto another ABC reality series.
Melissa Rycroft, who was just infamously dumped by Jason Mesnick on the shocking season finale of "The Bachelor," will hopefully turn her sorrows into dancing by stepping into injured Nancy O'Dell's vacated spot on the upcoming season of 'Dancing With the Stars," People magazine reports. (This, following rumors that Holly Madison of E!'s "The Girls Next Door" will fill in for an ailing Jewel.) Look for all the drama to unfold on Season 8's premiere at 8 Monday night.

By my count, this is the 3rd reality show this girl's been on. Is she just a reality show junkie? or finding ways to extend her 15 minutes?

I'm so excited to watch Melissa on DWTS. I wish her the very best and it will be nice to see her doing well since the heart break of the Bachelor. With Melissa on DWTS and Jillian as the new bachelorette I will get the chance to see more of my two favorite ladies from the Bachelor. There is nothing wrong with taking safe, respectable opportunities to do something fun and financially beneficial if they are presented to you. Melissa is a go getter and that personality appeals to a lot of people. I think this has afforded her the opportunity to be on more than one show, nothing wrong with that in my opinion. She’s young, beautiful and hopefully happy. Godspeed Melissa!

People should not be upset about the breakup. On show 1 there were 25 beautiful women. How does anyone expect you to make a lifelong decision in 4 weeks. I only watched the first and last show. Melissa was pretty but when you took her to meet your family there was no spark. When you saw Molly next there was. I only saw the first and last show. I thought it should have been Molly. You had a very difficult decision. I think you did the right thing letting Melissa go. If fans read this wake up. There is no wrong in honesty. I wish you and Molly a lifetime of happiness. I also liked her connection with your son. That too is important. I'm 72 with 5 children and 19 grandchildren. I have some life experience. Regards, Doris Theriault

I think Melissa missed the proverbial bullet -- Jason Mesnick is no great catch. (And from all the faux weeping he was putting on, I hope he's not looking for a career in acting.) As for Molly -- she seems like an intelligent girl who -- in giving Mesnick another chance -- (and I quote her here) is making "a mistake -- a big one."
