'The Real Housewives of New York City': Meet the new housewife

Kelly Killoren Bensimon has yet to demonstrate why Bravo even bothered adding her to its Real Housewives franchise.

She fits in on paper: She's rich, a former model, the ex-wife of fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon, has two daughters, is a writer-journalist and  zzzzzzzzzz. Oh, excuse me. You see, all that aside, Kelly is a crashing bore.

On the "Real Housewives of New York City," we already have a well-adjusted, leggy former model in LuAnn, and even she has a quirky personality that comes out when it comes to her role as Countess de Lesseps. All the other housewives are genuine characters, whether we're talking about the ambitiously creepy Alex and her metro husband, Simon, mouthy social maven Jill, caustically sarcastic Bethenny or even crazy-eyed Ramona, who never fails to embarrass her daughter.

My case favoring KKB's addition to RHNY:
She is, at the least, still gorgeous and graceful to look at, the most attractive of them all. Could you ask for cooooler teeth and a more radiant smile (echoing a bit that of Jacqueline Bisset's) ashion model, media-genic good looks alone would justify her addition - undoubtedly attracting more viewers especially male. And she is also a more compelling entree into the world of fashion and celebrity given both her past and present work and connections (enough ands for you?). Furthermore, she creates an excellent revelatory foil especially to Bethenny (or however Beth has "exoticized" its spelling)...

Get real, any men that they add to watch this show won't be interested in a woman. Kelly is a disillusioned existentialist that adds nothing to society. She isn't even in the same humans as Jill and Bethany. Maybe she and Ramona can continue to run the crazy club and look down at all the "real" people from their botox and silicone induced stupor.

Are you kidding jfloyd3? Kelly is a complete nut! She is completely obsessed about the Bethany situation and she runs around telling everyone how crazy Bethanny is. All the while, Bethany stays completely cool and calm. Kudos Bethany! Cuckoo Kelly was acting like she was Madonna and isn't the brightest crayon in the box. Wasn't Kelly arrested for Domestic Violence against her boyfriend? HELLO! CUCKOO BIRD!

OMG Is Kelly some kind of nut what? She is so FULL of herself it's unreal. And if I hear HI EEE ONE MORE TIME I'm going to stop watching

OMG!!! Mary, Sarah, I completely agree with the two of you!! I hate how fake Kelly is!! And yeah! Totally changed around the story when she was recounting her meeting with Betheny. Are you kidding me?? At what point in the conversation did Betheny go crazy?? And then it's like she had amnesia when they were talking in Ally's room. Dude, seriously?? She's a NUTCASE ready for a Christmas party..... Ugh! Let's not even mention the fake FAAAAKE high-pitched falsetto, "Hah-eeeeeeeeeee!! ...How are youuuuuuuu??" Aaaargh!!! I want to stab my ears with a pencil everytime I hear her. I'm so close, it's not even funny!

Alex and her husband are The most bizarre people on the show "WHY" are the on the show?She is really not pretty at all ,if they have so much money for clothing how about getting your teeth done,Alex!! Your children are spoiled and out of control, How about taking care of your children and stop making us all sick playing with your odd husband!! Iwe think he is really gay,As he wears his queer pink shoes..

I think she has some ADHD - lots of trouble forming sentences, some basic problems with situational awareness. I'd still much rather watch her than that awful Alex and her brood. Kelly may be scatterbrained, fake and dishonest but I am not sure that she can really help it. Silex conspire to manipulate and be what they are not. Also Kelly is gorgeous and Silex... well...
