‘Gossip Girl’: Nate’s getting some financial aid

Nate’s getting a rich cousin — or two.

According to TVGuide.com, Aaron Tveit has signed on to play Tripp Vanderbilt, a character who’ll figure into the big reconciliation between Nate and his mother’s well-to-do clan. Holley Fain will play Tripp’s fiancee, Maureen.

Tveit last starred in Broadway’s ‘Wicked’ and Hairspray’ and appeared in the Ricky Gervais comedy ‘Ghost Town.’ Fain has appeared in episodes of ‘Lipstick Jungle’ and ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent.’
