Comedy Central is adding Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter back into its programming mix.

The pair, who last teamed with the network in 2005 on the comedy series ‘Stella,’ will now star in ‘Michael and Michael Have Issues,’ about the hosts of a fake sketch comedy show (Black and Showalter) and all of the behind-the-scenes antics that ensue, i.e. getting their teenage intern to write about the show for his high school paper.

Comedy Central has ordered seven episodes, set to premiere in July.

‘I’ve been a big fan of both Michaels ever since working with them on the classic MTV sketch show ‘The State’ and am excited to be in business with them again as they bring their dynamic relationship to life for our viewers,’ Comedy Central head of programming Lauren Corrao said.

Black, Showalter, Jim Biederman and Lou Wallach will executive produce.
