Sometimes the stars just don’t align the way you want them to. Just ask presidential also-ran John McCain. Appearing on CNN’s ‘Larry King Live,’ the Arizona senator confirmed that his wife, Cindy, was indeed in talks about participating in Season 8 of ABC’s ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ as Page Six first reported. But while it was reportedly John who nixed the idea, the senator blamed a bum knee for keeping his wife out of the running for the prized mirrorball trophy. ‘Well, we discussed it, but we decided it was not a good idea,’ McCain said on the broadcast, which airs tonight. ‘You know, Cindy’s on her second knee. She’s had it replaced....I think it would have been very challenging.’

Now who’s Corky going to dance with?
