Greta Van Susteren gets Sarah Palin, but Jay Leno gets John McCain

November 7, 2008 |  2:31 pm

Mccain While his former running mate has chosen to talk to Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, Sen. John McCain has decided to grant his first post-election sit-down to NBC comedian Jay Leno.

The former Republican presidential candidate will appear on "The Tonight Show" Tuesday in honor of Veterans Day, the network announced this afternoon.

Perhaps it's not a coincidence that McCain chose Leno, whose late-night program goes head-to-head with the "Late Show with David Letterman." The CBS comedian, who relentlessly pounded the McCain-Palin ticket this fall after the GOP candidate stood him up, has continued the barbs since Tuesday's election.

"Obama is busy putting together his presidential cabinet," Letterman said during his monologue on Thursday's program. "Senator McCain is putting together his medicine cabinet: Maalox, Metamucil, Polident, on and on and on."

David Letterman's continued derision of Senator McCain, who was falsely accused of being in bed all the time with George Bush, and not having the real stories come out about how he took on W, and, how the micromanaging RNC managed to lose the election for him by not allowing him to have Joe Lieberman as his running mate, etc. and then not coming up with the cash for his campaign when he needed it most, and after he bowed to their wishes of putting on the face they wanted him to show instead of being the John McCain, who is well known for calling pompous politicians s.o.b.s to their face, has been beat on enough. Letterman needs to let it go that Senator McCain missed his show one time, and behaving like he is the ultimate arbiter in the late night TV talk shows.
Senator McCain remember that almost 59 million Americans loved ya and voted for you. Forget what these self important illegitimate children of late night have to say.

Greta Van Susteren got the first post-election interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Greta, will you ask how American hegemony would have developed under a forgetful McCain? This is what a dazed and confused McCain who was led off stage would try to continue. The operative word for all your supporters, his fellow prisoners, is TRY because dazed and confused McCain can’t think past a minute.

Had Americans gotten the vulgar, bimbo, who was a heat-beat from the septuagenarian, you would have gotten more of the same, but only worse. Greta, how can anyone be a supporter of a dumb, puppet, who refuses to listen to talking points from her aides; then calls them jerks? What’s worse how can you be proud of a female Vice President such as Gov Palin? Greta, will you ask Sarah Palin, who dashed from a shower when top aides Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter went to brief her in her hotel room at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul she was wearing two (2) towels only!!! Greta, will you ask Sarah why did she do that? I betchca won't

The people who voted for President elect Barack Hussien Obama decided… we don’ t want to remain against Iraq’s will, and risk being swept again into Iraq’s internal conflicts; and not to continue the Bush administration and its backers privileged position in Iraq’s economy and oil industry.
Lastly, and most important, of course as you read, President elect Barack Hussein Obama is working on the greatest domestic issue, the e-c-o-n-m-y!
What will Bush do for the bail out of the auto industry, or 1.2 million jobs lost? Greta, ask Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, should Americans feel like the stock exchanged since the Wall Street Meltdown?

I betcha you won't sensible answers!
Congratulations, President elect Barack Hussein Obama. There are some of the best minds flanking you. What’s more Obama has the ability to listen and make wise decisions.

dear jay thank you for having john mccain on tonight hes a class act and so is cindy

I miss John McCain. Thruout this evil, unfair election he was pinned & stabbed & suffered the attack of the cruel spoiled Americans and didn't deserve to go thru what he did as well as Palin. I think many women are just flat out jealous of Palin as well as the Hollyweirdos. She has made it big on her own hard work ....not by ACTING in Hollywood. So called celebrities are over paid spoiled rotten children. It is amazing how America has treated a suppose to be respectful election here in America. It is embarrassing and it is a sign of what direction our Country is heading. Hollywood is an evil place. My 76 year old mother who had lived thru the Hail Hitler days in Slovakia said that she feels very bad to see America wind up like it is. The respect is gone. The corruption is accepted and admired. This election was treated like an American Idol show & between the college groupies that didn't know what they were doing to the immature ridiculous reporters it should have been different. At least if Hillary was in or anyone else, America would have had a NORMAL election.
