McCain to visit Letterman Show
Can Sen. John McCain and David Letterman bury the hatchet?
CBS has confirmed that McCain will visit "The Late Show" this Thursday, a day after this third and final presidential debate with Sen. Barack Obama. McCain angered Letterman last month when the candidate cancelled a scheduled appearance at the last minute. Letterman said McCain told him the economy was ready to "crater" and that he needed to return to Washington -- but, as it turned out, McCain was actually doing an interview with CBS News anchor Katie Couric. Letterman spent much of the show bashing McCain for breaking the engagement.
Insiders had said both sides were working to reschedule, a process made difficult by McCain's intense campaign schedule. Letterman told viewers last week that McCain's side was being "squirrelly." Yet McCain is something of a "Late Show" tradition. He has made a dozen previous visits to the program and announced his candidacy for president on the show in February 2007.

Watch McCain LIE again about why he canceled on Dave? Oh this will be good TV, I'm watching for sure. Will he hide behind the "we had to get back to Washington RIGHT away" line again? You betcha!
Problem is, there is evidence to the contrary. He didn't even leave NYC until the next day!
Truth is, McCain's dumb advisors thought they could just cancel on Dave last minute and do CBS news instead, like no one would notice. These are not the people who should be running a campaign, let alone our country!

Shame on Dave offering McCain half an hour of free TV time so close to the election and rewarding McCain for all the hateful and untrue ads. Shame on you. I will not be watching Letterman as he panders to the right.

Is the Late Night Show getting desperate? McCain cancelled his appearance on the Letterman show with some BS story just to show up for a interview with CBS News anchor Katie Couric. I do think that Letterman has many more viewers and if I recall Katie is calling it quits after the elections. If I was Letterman I really would not even want to talk to McCain after pulling this stunt.
But I guess The Late Night Show is now second fiddle to Katie Couric.
