Jason Castro: The ‘American Idol’ torch is passed!
Happy news, Jason Castro junkies and die-hard dreadheads: Jason Castro’s little brother, Michael Castro, has auditioned for Season 8 of “American Idol.”
And according to fourth-place runner-up Jason, Michael is the real singer in the family. “He’d always outdo me,” Jason told Fox News reporter Jonathan Hunt of his brother Michael, as seen in this segment posted on You Tube. “Hold notes longer, hit higher notes, and I was always like, 'How do you do that?' Whatever!”
According to the Fox report, Michael auditioned in Kansas City, Mo., the final stop on the “Idol” audition tour. “When I first told [Jason], he thought I was joking,” Michael said with a chuckle. “He was like, ‘Don’t go make a fool out of yourself. You’re not gonna take it seriously.’ ” We’ll have to wait till January to find out whether Jason was right.
And in case you were wondering, no, Michael doesn’t have dreadlocks. But he does have a bright red mohawk. With a lot of loyalty and a little white-out, Jason's dreadheads will no doubt become the redheads in no time.

We Dreadheads already know MCas and he is adorable but we will NEVER forget Jason. They are two different people with two different personalities, each attractive in their own way.We will of
course be supporting MCas but Jason is our #1

Jason will always be my #1 and no one can take his place. While I swore I wouldn't watch AI again after their deplorable treatment of Jason on the show, I will tune in to see how MCas sounds. He's such a cute guy, and if he sounds good, I just may vote for him.

Jason's brother is very cute and according to Jason very talented. As for taking Jason's place. Not going to happen. But, maybe if he wants it bad enough he can make his own place in the music business.

If Jason says his little 'bro is a good singer, I believe him. Jason is nothing if not honest! Sometimes to a fault. But IMO noone will ever replace Jason on American Idol. He was unique and utterly adorable. Jason did fantastic on the American Idol Tour and hopefully will be putting out some of his own music ASAP. I'll watch the show again this season and root for his brother if he is truly talented but NO ONE WILL REPLACE JASON! He'll always be my favorite American Idol contestant of all time!

Michael might be the better singer but no way on taking away Jason's place in my heart. I don't even like him.

I LOVE Jason Castro and no one (not even his younger brother!) will ever take his place in my heart! Jason always puts himself down with comments like this, saying other people are all so much better than him. He's a wonderful singer, a sweet person and very, very "easy on the eyes". Jason is simply Unique and Undeniable. He has the "IT" factor and that doesn't come along every day! I wish Michael Good Luck on the show but I will not be voting for him like I did for Jason. No way!!!!!!!!

I haven't heard Michael sing yet, so can't comment on his singing ability. Michael will have to be convincingly talented on his own. He won't have a free ride on his big brother's fame, talent, photographic beauty and special quirkiness. If Michael can sing he should go for it, but from the start of AI 8 to the end no one is going to vote for him just because he is Jason's little brother, not even the dreadheads. I have seen enough of him to judge that he doesn't have the same "It" factor that Jason has.
What Jason's fan's want is to hear more from Jason. An album or 2 or three, and then many more. His face is so quirky and cute he should be making movies.

Michael will have to make it on his own. No one will ever compare to JASON CASTRO - THE NUMBER ONE AMERICAN IDOL! Jason has it all and his fans are waiting for his CD's. Jason has a very rare gift, he's so humble he doesn' t know it! Yes he could be on tv, movies, etc with his personality. He's got it all.

Michael is an amazing singer, and nobody said anything about trying to take jasons place, I'm sure he knows he has to make it on his own. Besides, they sing completely differently! I am excited and will follow his journey for sure.

JASON CASTRO WILL NEVER BE REPLACED BY HIS BROTHER MICHAEL. I WILL WATCH AI BECAUSE OF HIM, BUT JASON IS FIRST IN MY HEART. HE IS REAL, HE IS ABSOLUTELY UNDENIABLE. HIS MUSIC TOUCHES YOUR SOUL AND HE SPREADS JOY TO ALL HE MEETS.

I met Jason Castro 5 times in 5 cities while on the AI Tour. NOBODY, BUT NOBODY will ever replace Jason in my mind or heart. Jason is undeniably one of the most charismatic and unique talents to come along since Brad Pitt. He is sexy, sweet, honest, sincere and very very humble. Good Luck to Michael Castro but I will never devote the time or energy to anyone on AI again after the deplorable treatment of Jason by simon Cowell. Simon obviously suffers from "short man syndrome." Jason is and always will be my American Idol.

Haha, okay people...Look, no one is trying to take Jason's place. Not even his brother. There's no way Michael is trying to, look at him. He is very different from his brother, but just as talented. So lay off, he is an amazing singer and I honestly don't think he even needed his brother there to make it. I can't wait to see how far he goes...I have a feeling that we'll be seeing alot of him =)
