Sarah Palin answers two final questions from Katie Couric before debate

10:11 AM PT, Oct 2 2008

Kc_sp_k7pxdonc_400 It's the interview that never ends -- or at least that's how it must feel to Sen. John McCain's campaign.

On tonight's "CBS Evening News," Katie Couric airs what appear to be the final excerpts of her conversations with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. In the segment, part of CBS' "Vice Presidential Questions" series, Couric asks both Palin and Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden the same two questions:

What do you think is the best thing and the worst thing that Dick Cheney has done as vice president?

What previous vice president most impresses you and why?

Their answers should give the pundits something to chew over in the final hours before Palin and Biden go head-to-head for their one and only debate, airing at 6 p.m. PT. Will Palin give critics more fodder, as she did yesterday when she was unable to name a Supreme Court decision with which she disagreed other than Roe vs. Wade?
