Luke Perry says 9021-NO

September 19, 2008 |  5:28 pm

Dylan McKay may have finally been revealed as the father of Kelly's son Sammy, but that doesn't mean Luke Perry's changed his mind about resurrecting his iconic character. In a recent conference call with reporters, Perry reiterated that he has no plans to appear on the CW's new '90210.' The actor -- who's opted instead for upcoming guest shots on "Law & Order: SVU" and "Criminal Minds" -- seemed pretty certain about his decision. Of course, I also remember a time when Perry -- who left the original "90210" during its sixth season -- insisted he would never return to that show -- and yet return he ultimately did. Maybe he's just waiting for producers to offer him the coveted "Heather Locklear Special Guest Star" status again?

It remains to be seen how no Dylan will affect the show's story lines. Will Kelly forever be a single mom? Or will new beau Ryan -- or old one Brandon? -- help her kick the McKay habit once and for all?
