'So You Think You Can Dance': Jessica is injured; Comfort is back in
Fox's TCA press tour session on Monday led off with a "So You Think You Can Dance" panel, and there was actually news. Since last week's elimination episode on Thursday, Jessica King, who had made the top 10, was injured. Meaning, Comfort Fedoke, the most recently eliminated female dancer, is back in the competition.
The panelists -- Nigel Lythgoe, Cat Deeley, Mia Michaels and Mary Murphy -- would not elaborate on what the injury is or when it happened, even when pressed. "I've been instructed not to talk about the injury, I have to say," Lythgoe said. When a reporter continued asking for details, he said, "You have a law here that says I cannot discuss the injury," and that he wanted to change the subject.
As for Comfort's future on the show, since she had been among the bottom three couples several times before her ouster, Michaels said, "Last week we said she hadn't reached her potential yet, so I have a feeling she's going to step it up."

Poor Jessica is right; she probably got sick of all the judges rude comments to her. Comfort? No, please....go away, and don't come back.

Sad to see Jessica go. She was not my favorite but she is better than Comfort. Why don't they bring Thayne back? Why do we have to have the same amount of boys and girls? Who says the partners have to be boy/girl? Wouldn't it be great to see two guys dance together? Like Travis and Benji's hiphop or Neil and Danny's dueling princes. The Alvin Ailey dancers just showed us how great males dancers can be together. I'm personally getting tired of the boy/girl partnerships. Male dancers together have such power.

Susan, I"m just curious about why you feel that way about two male dancers and not two female?
You also just gave 2 examples about how on SYTYCD at least, it's not always male/female. But it needs to be male/female as long as they're including ballroom/latin in the mix.

I agree- poor Jessica- and I agree- the judges have been so rude to her as they have been to Kerringotn- Tobe honest- it is a real turn off for me. It's a bit like wathcing figure skating, you have a good idea who's going to score what before it starts. I also think Mia Micheals comes across as jealous and vindictive. Not pretty!!!
