Sass x7 has some seriously super magic powers! Or is it Jersey juju? Why was So Real Cru in the top five? We think people are nostalgic for Kaba Modern. And how the HECK did Super Cr3w end up in the bottom five? Come on people, like Shane said, pay attention when you’re voting! You are getting it wrong, all wrong.

Here’s our complete rundown followed by a sweet goodbye from the totally undeserving Distorted X (above):

ASIID (And So It Is Done): The Detroit group (featuring deaf member Joey) surprised many with their strong routine. A sexy section where the women ‘rode’ the men, then pulled them like they were on leashes, impressed the judges and delighted the crowd.

Boogie Bots: The Boogie Bots continued their strong run for D.C., but we’re still waiting for the all-star crew to break out. Their teamwork is evident as they move very fluidly together, a crew member whose dad is in a coma provides inspiration and they create wonderful shapes ... but we’re waiting.

Fanny Pak: This is all girlie, but ‘Material Girl’ Megan’s rhinestone choker with traffic cone orange lipstick that matched her track jacket stripes were like a prayer, they took me there. They can’t relax like Frankie Jay, though. Making the bottom two should cause them to wake up before they go-go.

Phresh Select: The love-givers from the city of brotherly love were impressive. Their version of the Mexican hat dance, Motown-Philly style, and Lil-O’s flip and headstand over his crew was a great way to end an inspired performance.

Sass x7: Lil Mama might have said it best: ‘This is a dance competition, and these are dancers.’ That’s the only reason why the Rutgers dance squad is still in it. They may try to fit in and not be ‘just cheerleaders,’ but like JC said: ‘If you don’t want to be thought of as cheerleaders, don’t do cheerleader moves.’

So Real Cru: Aww. After being evicted from their studio, they rehearse on the street on reflective surfaces. We see this all the time in downtown Los Angeles, but it’s called ‘crazy’ and ‘in need of a visit from social services.’ After all that sentiment we howled when Lil Mama called Ailyn an ‘alien.’ And we don’t mind that they’re keeping up their Members Only jacket motif, although it may not help their lines with all those robotic gestures.

Super Cr3w: Damn. Just ... damn. Ninjas rocking it old-school with crazy acrobatics, bananas choreography, a hard edge that cut through the competitors and even made the judges sidestep the FCC with a few choice words! These b-boys from Vegas went from bottom 5 to stratospheric with one routine. Right now, there’s no question.

Supreme Soul: Ummm .. I thought these guys were supposed to be good? Like Shane said, I can see the potential, but I can also see bottom five in their future. Who cares about the ‘Supreme Soul beat Jabba Wockeez’ pseudo-beef, Soul needs some heart to stay in it.

Xtreme Dance Force: The judges and most of the audience were not feeling this performance or the pre-dance piece that had the crew going to a spa! What!? (cough) Soft! (cough). Excuse me, some seaweed facial mask stuck in my throat. Their pelvic thrusts provided a quick jolt, but it didn’t last long ... just like this crew unless they get drastic.

And the loser ...

Distorted X: Shane said the group finally had a routine that separated the guys from the girls, but it wasn’t enough. Fanny Pak’s style and staging won over the callers and the judges in the battle of the Bottom 2, but the Houston crew wasn’t too broken down over it. The group may not have had enough ‘IT’ to make them stand apart, and not enough pop-out dance skill to climb the hip-hop ladder. They seemed a bit more talented than a FEW others crews still left, but it’s not all about talent.
