I do not understand what everyone else heard last night. I missed the show last night but caught the videos on YouTube. David Archuletta's performance was, to me, mediocre. He sings well but is that all there is? How many times can you hear "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" and "Imagine"? I mean--come on! Are you kidding me? David Cook is by far the better talent and will go far just like Chris Daughtry did. David Cook's last song, by Collective Soul, was raw, emotional and made me forget the original version which I love. You know he really does not need to win. He already has. Anyone with any taste in music knows that.

These two guys are BOTH extremely talented. Cook has more experience and is well seasoned and I can't believe that a 17 year old kid like David Archuletta can belt out the ballads the way he does. He is fantastic. I am pullin for Archie - and have been since the start, of course his humble sincere personality scores major brownie points with me. Sometimes Cook seems a little arrogant - maybe I am reading him wrong. One thing we have to remember is that we are voting for their singing abilty and try not to get caught up in their looks/personalities - although Archie is cute as a button and if I were a 17 year old kid again.........

One night of performance, still doesn't make a guarantee. If we look back their have been several Idols that have had off nights, both David's included, but still made it through to the next round. I feel it's the overall between both that should be decided. And if I had to choose talent and creativity, I vote "DC".

David Cook is the most talented and original contestant I have seen on any reality show. He may not win the AI but he will be the winner in the end as I see him being an worldwide star. He has heaps of fans over here in the UK. I think DC is the more entertaining and I love his twist/slant on the songs he has done, with new arrangements which have not only worked but would be hits for him. I wish them both well, but for me DC has the most talent, and he is the only one I would rush out to buy an album by.

David Cook will win because he is the best at everything: originality, creativity, he is a mature artist with a manly voice, he is most alway ON KEY ALWAYS, he has proper techniques such as breathing to support his perfect notes, he has perfect diction and enunciation so that you can understand his lyrics, and he has life experience so you can feel his heart when he sings love songs. DA has a good voice, but he has a lot to work on (breathing, diction-he doesn't finish is words, he doesn't enunciate), he needs life experience and to be on his own and experience some hard ships. DC can cover any kind of music because he is versatile, DA has to stick to the only kind of music he knows how to sing. DC has grown in many ways in the competition, DA sounds the same as he did at the beginning. DC takes chances, and is dangerous with his music. DA takes no chances and needs a team of voice coaches, his dad, and whoever else he's got to help him make up his mind of what to sing and how to sing it. DC makes up his own mind, and what a mind DC has! Can anyone say, "marriage material"? I will buy DC's songs, I won't buy DA's (if I want to hear Donny Osmond...well, I don't want to hear Donny Osmond, so forget it...)...DC will win tonight because people are tired of listening to little kids sing love songs!

If I have to listen to another boring ballad sung by David A....I'll scream...can he sing anything else? That is a big NO!!!! He should have been voted out before Michael and even before Jason. If he wins he will end up like Ruben....but David Cook will be the real winner....how many people purchase an album full of ballads? Not me...I did not purchase an album by Ruben and I won't purchase one by David A. However, I'll buy every David Cook album...and give them as gifts.

David Cook is a versatile artist. He can sing all kinds of genres of music including hard and soft rock, ballads (he just happens to be really good at it, too), operatic broadway tunes, etc.; David Archuletta is not versatile, can only sing ballads (remember that mess with Boo last week?)

David Cook is a mature 25 year old with life experience to sing about; David Archuletta has been groomed for talent shows, and has a team of people (coach, dad, others) to tell him what to sing and how to sing it.

David Cook is an accomplished song writer/song arranger/musician/singer. DC has released an album (Analog Heart) that was put out briefly and went to #1 ahead of Maria Carey's album. It was pulled by AI.---Don't believe David Archuletta has released any cd's, at least I haven't heard of any.

David Cook has the sex appeal needed for a rock star; David Archuletta is a cute 17-year old boy (sort of reminds me of Donny Osmond).

David Cook and David Archuletta have both worked hard to win AI, but only one can win. I suggest that DA try out again next year! David Cook for the win of AI this year!

Why do so many people pass off archuleta as someone only young girls and grandmas like. I f you read the comments many are men and fathers. I would never buy an CD by DC, even though I thought he was good. I can't wait to get DA's and watch him make his mark in the world, which he does every time I hear him sing. I want to be better and do better. I am Inspired by this youth.

Okay, let's be honest: David A. does indeed have a great voice, but all he can do is sing...HE HAS NO PERSONALITY on the stage...not to mention his horrible dance moves. Based on VOICE, David A. takes it, but overall he is NOT a performer. David Cook knows how to capture the audience...I ENJOY watching him perform, whereas I am completely embarrassed to WATCH David A. perform...I can listen to David A. perform, but I cringe when I watch. No matter who wins though David Cook has the talent needed to make records...David A. can just recite a song nicely.

I think David Cook is the more well rounded, talented performer. David A. is always very predictable and often times boring. I was very disappointed that he sang Imagine again last night - he has always played it ultra safe. Simon should have blasted him for being so predictable as he has in the past. I also believe David C will have a far better career. Unfortunately with what Simon said David A will probably win.
