I sure would like to see David Cook show up with his hair combed. When he performs, I find myself looking at his hair rather than concentrating on his performance. Why do todays music artist feel that have to look like clowns to appeal to an audience?

I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF BOTH DAVID'S SYESHA AND MICHAEL. THOUGHT BROOKE WAS GOOD TOO BUT NEVER SAW HER STAYING TIL THE FINALS. TOWARDS THE START OF THE SEASON I SAW "ARCHIE" IN THE FINALS AND THOUGHT HE WAS AMAZING. I THEN JUMPED ON COOK'S BANDWAGON. HE SEEMS GENUINE, CAN REALLY SING, PUTS AND INTERESTING SPIN ON EVEN OLDER SONGS AND EVEN PLAYS GUITAR. HE ALSO WEARS THE ORANGE BRACLET OF THE DYING GIRL IN FLORIDA, AND DEALING WITH HIS BROTHERS SERIOUS ILLNESS. BUT TONIGHT EVEN THOUGH COOK'S FIRST SONG WAS GREAT. "ARCHIE" WAS AMAZING ON ALL THREE. I THINK COOK WILL NOT WIN BUT I BELIEVE HE DOESNT NEED TO. HE WILL HAVE A GREAT SINGING CAREER ANYWAY AND I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE OF SYESHA AS WELL.

I cannot believe that Mr Rushfield is so late in blowing last night's competition way out of proportion. He must be depressed that Cook is going to get his behind kicked. Come on Rush, the sun will come out tomorrow.

Unfortunatly at this point in the competition, it's all about looks. Teenage girls are going to vote for who they think is cutest, wether they're good or not. In my opinion David Archuletta should've been out weeks ago. All he can sing are ballads. David Cook has shown us that he has a wide range of talent. From musical show like songs, to plain old classic rock.

Archie will win the competition, because of girls like "sam". But David good wins ultimatley on talent.

David Archuleta has mad vocals. Cook is good too, but Archuleta just destroyed him last night in the finals. Archie has been the most consistent contestant all season long.

David Cook is by far the best. He is capable of singing a variety of themes as he has demonstrated during his american idol competition. He is another Daughtry...FABULOUS! Judging should be not on just the final...night (we all have our bad days). Judging should be on the entire competition. David A is good at ballads...but that's just it....ballads....boring!!!!! Yes, he is consistent; however, he doesn't bring anything new tohis music history. He always sounds the same. DAVID COOK ALL THE WAY!!

I do not understand what everyone else heard last night. I missed the show last night but caught the videos on YouTube. David Archuletta's performance was, to me, mediocre. He sings well but is that all there is? How many times can you hear "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" and "Imagine"? I mean--come on! Are you kidding me? David Cook is by far the better talent and will go far just like Chris Daughtry did. David Cook's last song, by Collective Soul, was raw, emotional and made me forget the original version which I love. You know he really does not need to win. He already has. Anyone with any taste in music knows that.

These two guys are BOTH extremely talented. Cook has more experience and is well seasoned and I can't believe that a 17 year old kid like David Archuletta can belt out the ballads the way he does. He is fantastic. I am pullin for Archie - and have been since the start, of course his humble sincere personality scores major brownie points with me. Sometimes Cook seems a little arrogant - maybe I am reading him wrong. One thing we have to remember is that we are voting for their singing abilty and try not to get caught up in their looks/personalities - although Archie is cute as a button and if I were a 17 year old kid again.........

One night of performance, still doesn't make a guarantee. If we look back their have been several Idols that have had off nights, both David's included, but still made it through to the next round. I feel it's the overall between both that should be decided. And if I had to choose talent and creativity, I vote "DC".

David Cook is the most talented and original contestant I have seen on any reality show. He may not win the AI but he will be the winner in the end as I see him being an worldwide star. He has heaps of fans over here in the UK. I think DC is the more entertaining and I love his twist/slant on the songs he has done, with new arrangements which have not only worked but would be hits for him. I wish them both well, but for me DC has the most talent, and he is the only one I would rush out to buy an album by.
