‘American Idol’ songwriting contest: 20 finalists announced

April 14, 2008 | 11:57 am

Last season, when Jordin Sparks won “American Idol,” she moved us with her tearful rendition of Jeff Peabody and Scott Krippayne’s “This is My Now.”  The song was an entry in last season’s "American Idol" songwriter competition, and after garnering more than 2 million votes, it became the winner.

Well, it’s that time again, America; time to choose the song you want your next American Idol to sing at the final elimination. Do you want to hear David Archuleta sing Mark Holman’s "Overcome" or would you prefer to hear him sing Zach Ziskin's "Faith"? It’s up to you! The 20 finalists have been announced, so sift through the entries and cast your votes here

THANK YOU WHATEVER COMES gets my vote! Any of the contestants could sing it though my favs are David Arculeta and David Cook. Carly is great too but needs to find the right song. This one could be it!
