Idol opens the doors for one night only — 'Idol Gives Back'
Generally, a ticket to an "American Idol" taping is harder to come by than a presidential pardon in a maximum-security prison. But perhaps inspired by the spirit of its "Idol Gives Back" annual charity event, "American Idol" for one night only is opening its doors to the general public — allowing fans to purchase tickets to the taping, with proceeds supporting the event's array of charities.
The event is being taped this Sunday, 7 p.m. at Hollywood's Kodak Theater. Tickets are on sale at americanidol.com/idolgivesback or at ticketmaster.com.
The special will include appearances by "Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Mariah Carey, Robin Williams, Celine Dion, Forest Whitaker, Billy Crystal, Dane Cook, Kiefer Sutherland, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, Heart, Gloria Estefan, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Connolly, Elliott Yamin, Fantasia and Amy Adams," according to the news release.
Not to mention Carly, David, David, Syesha, Ramiele, Michael, Jason, Kristy and Brooke.
