Neil Patrick Harris was nominated for an Emmy for his hilarious turn as Barney, the ultimate ladies' man, on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.” Harris, we might note, was a well-known child actor who for a long time couldn’t get through an airport without hearing “Doogie! Doogie!” — the small-screen alter ego that made him famous.
