It’s vacation time! The Denver gang leaves the mountains for Thailand, where they learn to appreciate the cultural shock of Bangkok, the beauty of the outlying islands, and the mind-expanding intensity of traveling to a very different foreign land. Oh, who am I kidding? Brooke thinks she was stung by a jellyfish - and asks her housemates to urinate on her foot, in theory to numb the pain. They do, with a little more enthusiasm than I could stomach immediately after dinner.

The joke is, of course, that Brooke manages to be both a space cadet and a drama queen, and the likelihood that she was actually stung by a jellyfish is low - if so, it was the mildest form of swelling I’ve ever seen after being chomped. She probably actually stepped on a rock, and decided that because that minor malady wouldn’t get her enough attention from the roomies, a dose of urea probably would. And then, the phone rings. It’s Karma on line one....and Brooke actually does hurt herself. She takes a tumble in a rocky swimming pool, cracking her tailbone. I don’t know what the term is for crying wolf in Thai, but I think Brooke learned it first hand. Stephen notes that the trip was the last hurrah for the housemates, who have one week left before they disband. Hurrah! Hurrah!
