Oh-so-secretive CBS has been busy picking up pilots today. The No. 1 network will make its big announcement to advertisers on Wednesday, but here’s a quick look at some of the surprising shows it will add to its fall/midseason schedule.

Goodbye crime procedurals, hello interesting concepts.

Jimmy Smits returns to TV in a sexy, seductive Miami-set drama about a rich Cuban American family and its rivals in the rum trade. Formerly titled “Los Duques,” now the show seems to be called “Cane.”

There’s also “Swingtown,” a soapy drama set in the ‘70s about spouse-swapping in the Chicago suburbs. The show was created by Mike Kelley (“The O.C.”) and is directed by Alan Poul (“Rome” and “Six Feet Under”).

So far, the only sitcom is ‘Big Bang Theory,” by Chuck Lorre, the creator of the No. 1 comedy on TV, “Two and a Half Men.” This was tabled from last development season and is about two brainiacs who know a lot about quantum physics and nothing about women. It stars Johnny Galecki and Simon Helberg.

We are also hearing that “Twilight” (see post below) is now called “Moonlight.”
