Save the boutiques! Shop local!

The holiday season isn't all about slugging it out over deals at the big box stores. L.A. is filled with independent boutiques that need your Christmas dollars too. Over the next few weeks the Image staff takes a look at the best shopping in Los Angeles, neighborhood by neighborhood. First up, kooky cheese graters in the Pacific Palisades, stylish (and usable) pencil sculptures in Silver Lake, cute pink tennis balls in Beverly Hills and French New Wave T-shirts in South Pasadena.
