Highland Park artists' studio tour set Sunday

Lummis HouseLooking for holiday gifts off the beaten path? On Sunday, 140 artists will open their studios for the Arroyo Arts Collective’s 16th annual “Re-Discovery Tour” — a self-guided tour of artists’ homes and studios in Highland Park, Eagle Rock and Mount Washington.

The artists work in mediums such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage, computer graphics, photography, letterpress, printmaking, fiber arts and spray-can art.

You can buy  tickets in advance ($10 plus $1 shipping and handling) online and at Galco’s Old World Grocery, 5702 York Blvd., Highland Park.

Tickets the day of the tour ($15) will be available beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Charles Lummis House, 200 E. Avenue 43, Highland Park. Ticket-holders will receive a map of artists’ studios and homes; studios and homes will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, call (323) 850-8566.
