For the second year in a row, the Los Angeles Times has won the Headline Writers of the Year award from the American Copy Editors Society. The awards were announced last week at the group’s conference in Philadelphia. It is the first time a staff has won in consecutive years, and it is the third time The Times has won the award.

In addition, foreign desk copy editor Laura Dominick won the individual headline writing award for publications with circulations of 250,000 and above.
