"Between Friends" - a new comic strip

October 6, 2008 |  6:00 am

Between_friends_comic_strip_panel This notice runs in today's comics section:

"Between Friends" joins Calendar today, one of the comics we're letting readers sample as possible replacements for “For Better or for Worse,” which is now in reruns. For the next five weeks, we’ll sample “Between Friends,” by Sandra Bell-Lundy. After that we’ll sample two more comics, then we’ll make a selection. Send comments to comics@latimes.com.

Reader comments about comics can be found at this post on "For Better or For Worse," and another post about "Doonesbury" that was published on this journal in June, as well as an earlier posting in March

Keep Sally Forth. It is one we both enjoy reading. Please coordinate the comics with the Daily Breeze. Both of them are running too many of the same comic. We are not interested in most of the new one. Rex Morgan, Doonesbury, 9 Chickweed Lane, Sally Forth are some of our favorites Daily Breeze has for better or for worse. Thank you.

"The Knight Life" please. It's funny and local.
