April 4, 2008 |  4:42 pm

Managing Editor John Arthur's memo announces honors to Bill Plaschke, T.J. Simers  and Kevin Baxter from the Associated Press Sports Editors:

I’m very pleased to tell you that the Associated Press Sports Editors have named Bill Plaschke as “The Best Columnist for 2007” for papers with circulation over 250,000.  This is the fourth time he has received this top honor—and the third in the last four years.  Bill also received an honorable mention in the feature story category.

Other honorable mentions include T.J. Simers in the columnist category and Kevin Baxter in explanatory.

Please join Randy Harvey and me in congratulating Bill, T.J., and Kevin.
