Ginny Chien has joined the staff as Style Editor. Ginny has been an editor at publications including Variety, V Life and Angeleno, and her freelance writing has appeared in our pages and in publications ranging from The New York Times to Teen People. She received her BA from UCLA and has a master’s degree from USC’s Annenberg School.

Associate Editor Anne Harnagel has been appointed Editorial Production Manager. Anne, who joined the paper in 1997, previously was executive editor of The Apparel News Group, managing editor of Home Magazine and The American Lawyer, and Managing Editor-Features for The New York Times Syndicate.

Leilah Bernstein has been named to the new post of Associate Editor-Features. She will split her time between assignment editing and copy editing and will continue to oversee our fact-checking operations. Leilah joined The Times’ staff in 2000. She graduated from UCLA and has a master’s degree in print journalism from USC.

Assistant Copy Chief Anne Colby will add ‘associate editor’ to her title and will begin dividing her time between the Features copy desk and the magazine, where she will act as both a copy editor and slot. In addition to her copy-editing prowess, Anne is a freelance writer and editor for magazines and books, a former senior editor and articles editor at Home magazine and a former editor of Sunset’s trade marketing publications. She graduated from San Francisco State University.

Please join me in congratulating all on their new positions.
